Pochero is a Filipino soup dish that has beef as a main ingredient. But I never thought that a dish called “Fish Pochero” also exists.. It was Mang Pandoy who introduced me to this dish. He was a retired chef of one of the most prominent hotel in Manila . No wonder, he’s an expert in cooking. The dish was still composed of the same vegetables such as string beans, pechay, kangkong, sweet potatoes and semi-ripe bananas. The main difference is that, instead of beef, fish is the main ingredient. I find the dish more healthy because it has less fat than that of the Beef Pochero.
