cure for hemorrhoids

My uncle has a problem of hemorrhoids for a year now. I don’t how he can stand it without medication. He doesn’t have a nice job though it isn’t easy for him to go to a doctor. He don’t have insurance either so he ended with herbal medication only. He asked today if he will change his diet, do you think it helps to go away and cure for hemorrhoids. I am not sure what to answer but I told him if he drink plenty of water maybe it help.
